Last year, NW Hearts Charity was delighted to fund the development of a courtyard garden in the Acute Coronary Care Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital.

This week, our CEO, Sue Martin, was privileged to be personally shown round the new tranquil space by Divisional Director of Cardiology at Manchester Foundation Trust, Nicola Lyons. Nestled within the hospital grounds, this courtyard garden will be a welcome haven for patients and their families, as well as somewhere for staff to pause and recharge. Sue said “I’m delighted that this area is now ready in time for the summer. Nicola has been instrumental in getting the garden ready and we can’t wait to see it being used and enjoyed”
